Aria's First Birthday Party

We had Aria's party at our house since it was going to be small. It made it easier on us to decorate and have the food there, etc. Thank goodness it's been an unusually mild winter, so we didn't have to worry about snow interfering with our plans.

The Theme of Aria's party was Pink and Gold.

Aria got lots of clothes for her birthday. Though Luc was a little pushy to open all the presents for her and get to the next one, every time Aria opened a present with clothes, she pulled them out and said "OOoOOOOoo". She also got a Fisher Price camera from Uncle Dave, an Elsa doll (Barbie Doll size) from Bonne-Maman and Bon-Papa, mermaid pj's with a cloth mermaid doll, as well as, a handmade crocheted blanket from Great Aunt Alice & Uncle Bill. Grandma and Grandpa got Aria most of the clothes, as well as a Minnie mouse toy, and a nesting chicken with a ball and little chicks.

Like usual, I decided to make the birthday cake. This will be the last year. I am not gifted with decorating baked goods. Frederic came to my rescue again to help me with the icing since I was making the cake fall apart. Luc helped me put the pink sprinkles on the cake after I outlined it in gold.
