On the last day of school the kids acted out the book, The Little Engine that Could. Luc was a monkey. How fitting.
Afterward, they received their Kindergarten certificate and a Candy Award. Luc got the Snickers Award: "For your sense of humor and your ability to make others laugh daily!"
Luc did really well this year! They don't give out 'grades' in kindergarten, but he he improved from Satisfactory to Outstanding in Art. Got Outstanding in music, PE, computers, and STEM. He did well in all other areas but is "still developing" writing in lowercase letters and recognizing sight words. I disagree a little about the reading. In the beginning, he hated reading and wouldn't put any effort into it. Frederic started helping him before bed and he improved 100-fold in his reading homeworks. While it's his least favorite subject and would take 5 times longer than to do his math assignments, he is learning to read.
